Blizzard plays Ticket to Ride: Nordic Countries

I didn’t expect much from this game. I was expecting regular Friskies or maybe Friskies Selects. Which is to say above Carcassonne: Inns and Cathedrals and Yomi, but below Battle Line. Let’s see what the first playthrough is like. One of my people read the rules while the other cut beets. I sat on the board and examined it more closely.

No routes shall be completed! I block everyone!

After the beets were put in the crockpot we started the game. Pretty soon I noticed how much fun my people were having. I sniffed the happiness in the air appreciatively. Friskies Selects territory and climbing. That’s what I say!

I’s got the right cards and I’m completing my routes. Sure they are short but they are complete. I have the right cards for sure! I just know it.

So it is 50 to 59 and I’m a little behind. I’ll have enough late points to make up the difference. See if it isn’t true?

It can’t be! 101 to 123.  I played too conservatively. I should have made some longer routes.

I underrated this game. It is Fancy Feast after all. Not Fancy Feast Elegant Medleys, but Fancy Feast for sure. You got me this time, but you won’t get me next time. I’m planning my winning strategy in my dreams.
